This marvelous (otherwise difficult to characterize) fugue does not need comments. As to composition and performance there are three points. Firstly it is a fantastically entertaining display of virtuosity and an example of the highest level of technical complexity from the baroque era. Secondly, it exhibits not a subdued or subtle temperament, but fire instead. Well, the third is Christmas. In general, That’s it, actually. So, happy upcoming holidays. PS: Well, such a fugue is well suited as an accompaniment to dancing – so I invite you to do so….

Эта дивная (иначе трудно охарактеризовать) фуга не нуждается в комментариях. Во-первых это фантастический интертейнмент – дисплей виртуозности на самом высшем уровне технической сложности времени барокко. И композиции и исполнительства. Во-вторых – это не темперамент, а ОГОНЬ. Ну, а в третьих – Рождество. Вот, собственно, и всё.
